CDXZipStream
in 2011
It
was a busy year, particularly with the
introduction of CDXZipStream 11, and we'd like to
cover here the more important improvements and
developments that were made to the software over
the past 12 months. If you would like more
information on any particular area, please click
on the associated link.
1)
One-Click
Templates: We've
developed easy-to-use, pre-formatted Excel
templates that do route optimization, zip
code radius analysis, driving calculations, and
other common CDXZipStream tasks. Just input your
data, click a button or two, and the requested
output is returned to the worksheet. The templates
are free, work in Microsoft Excel 2003 and up, and
can be used with free trials of CDXZipStream and
Microsoft MapPoint, where applicable.
Because they access CDXZipStream directly
and not through worksheet formulas, they are also
extremely fast for analysis of large data sets.
You can download the templates from our links
resource page.
2)
Canadian Postal
Codes: We now offer a Canadian
database of postal codes that can be used for
radius and distance calculations, postal code
lookup, generation of postal code lists, and
closest postal code analysis. This
database can be downloaded with any new
purchase of CDXZipStream from our "Buy Now"
webpage. If you already own a
version of CDXZipStream, you can purchase it from
your online account.
3)
2010
Census Data by Zip Code:
Demographic data by zip code is now
available from the 2010 Census in two CDXZipStream
data feeds. The first feed (available in
the Demographic, Premium, and Premium ACS
versions of CDXZipStream) includes fifteen 2010
Census fields covering basic population counts
based on age, gender, and race, as well as
household size. The second feed contains 115
fields and more detailed age and household data;
it is available only in the Premium and Premium
ACS versions.
4)
Drive
Time Maps:
CDXZipStream can now create drive time
maps using Microsoft MapPoint in the background.
Drive time maps delineate areas within a
specific driving time of a location, and are very
useful in visualizing and planning delivery routes
and customer service and sales zones. This unique
mapping capability is accessed through the
right-click function CDXRadius, available in Lite,
Basic, Premium, and Premium ACS
versions.
5)
MapPoint
Europe: CDXZipStream can now
be used with MapPoint Europe as well as North
America, and if you have both installed on your
computer you can toggle between them using the new
Application Settings button on the main
CDXZipStream toolbar.
To
take advantage of these and other improvements,
make sure that you update your software to CDXZipStream
11. Note that the availability of
the features above will depend on the version
our version comparison), and the Canadian postal
code database requires separate
purchase.
Here's
to a healthy and happy 2012! |
