The new CDXZipStream Version 3 adds new Bing Maps
features for routing and mapping. The maximum number of stops
on a route is now increased from 25 to 100, and users now have the
ability to specify map size up to 10 times larger (and including more
detail) than the current standard map.
There is also now a free suite of apps on the Microsoft
Store that provide the same capabilities as our online website tools
for address and ZIP+4 lookup, and ZIP Code and demographic reporting.

CDXZipStream
Version 3 Release
The number of stops that CDXZipStream supports in a
route calculation has been increased from 25 to 100. This new
limit applies to both route distance calculations and optimization.
Bing Maps itself only supports 25 stops per route and does not optimize
stops. CDXZipStream now has the ability to overcome this
limitation by making multiple requests to Bing. We've also
updated our routing optimization and mapping to support this
increased number of stops.
Mapping has also been improved to allow the option of
adjusting the embedded map sizes in Excel and support the largest map
size that Bing Maps provides. This is over 10 times larger than
the current standard map. To adjust the map size, use the
CDXZipStream settings menu and select "Bing Maps Settings".
We've also taken steps to avoid label overlaps when a large number of
stop or points appear on a map.
These new features make our product competitive with
online solutions costing anywhere from 30 to $100 per month for route
optimization alone. Registered users of our latest product
version can get the new version free by downloading and installing
the CDXZipStream trial.

New Free Apps in the Microsoft App Store
CDX Technologies is pleased to release a suite of apps
that can be downloaded for free from the online Microsoft
Store. The tools will work on Microsoft Windows 8 and 10
operating systems where the Windows Store is available. Three apps
have been released covering address correction and ZIP+4 lookup,
and ZIP Code and demographic reporting. These apps match the
applications that are also available on our web site under the
"Tools" menu. There is no charge to use these
services.

Postal Address Correction and ZIP+4 Lookup:
This application can correct US postal addresses to a
standardized format and append ZIP+4 information along with other key
data. Data can be entered in either a single line or multiple line
format. Enter as much address data as you have and the program will
fill in the rest. Single line addresses should be entered in the format
"address,city,state ZIP". A separate tab is available for
each format.
ZIP Code Report: This
free USPS ZIP Code Lookup tool from can find city, state, county and
more for any ZIP Code. Just enter your US ZIP Code and press the
"Generate Report" button to get a detailed report. The
report contains over 20 key ZIP Code data items including latitude,
longitude, area code and elevation.
Demographic Reports: This
app creates demographic reports based on ZIP Code. Items covered
include population, race, gender and general location information.
Just select a report, enter your ZIP Code and press the
"Generate Report" button. Information on all of the report
items can be found by clicking on the "Data Definitions"
link. Report types include general, demographics, race, gender and a
combined report.

Latest Data
Updates
Canadian and U.S. data feeds of
CDXZipStream were updated as of July 26. There were 38 changes
made to the U.S. database this month. If you would like to
update your database to reflect these changes, select the
"Account" option on the CDXZipStream commandbar and click
on "Check for Available Database Updates". You can
then update each database as required.
CDXZipStream updates are a
part of the one-year software maintenance subscription included with
your purchase. If you would like to extend your
subscription, please sign in to the CDX Technologies website and from
the account area for CDXZipStream, select "Buy Data
Update".
