CDXGeoStream - The Next Generation of CDXZipStream

CDX Team ·

In August we wrote about the next generation of CDXZipStream, a cloud-backed service that keeps every function you rely on today. That platform now has a name: CDXGeoStream. It is also bigger than we described then, because we are folding CDXGeoData into it as well. The two products have always solved neighboring problems, one built for people working in spreadsheets, the other for developers and analysts calling an API. Keeping them apart meant two subscriptions and two sets of documentation for customers who usually wanted both. CDXGeoStream is a single product that serves both, and we expect to open it to customers in the coming weeks.

CDXGeoStream keeps every function from both products: address verification and ZIP+4, geocoding, driving distance and directions, multi-stop route optimization, radius and closest-point searches, and demographics down to the census tract, for both the United States and Canada. Use them as spreadsheet functions in Excel on Windows, Mac, or the web, in Google Sheets, or in LibreOffice Calc; as a REST API for batch jobs and integrations; or in the browser with no install at all. It also speaks MCP, so Claude, ChatGPT, and other AI assistants can call it directly.

If you purchased CDXZipStream in the last 12 months or hold an active maintenance agreement, you will receive a free introductory account on CDXGeoStream at launch, just as we committed in August. If your maintenance has lapsed, we have extended the window: reinstate by October 31, 2026 and you will be included in the free rollout automatically, even if CDXGeoStream has already launched by then. Everything else stays as it is. We will continue to support your current version of CDXZipStream, and your existing installation will keep working exactly as it does today. Pricing and a short migration guide will follow closer to release.
